WELCOME

Hi, I’m Akasha. Thanks for your interest in my work.

I’ve been doing bodywork for 27 years. Throughout that time, there has been a progression of focus and skillbuilding. Over the years, my work has become more inclusive—encompassing the different layers of experience that people are working with inside themselves. Besides my practice with structural integration and helping people unwind stress-related problems, I combine IFS, attachment therapy and craniosacral therapy to help people around their patterns and the places where they feel stuck. My work has revealed that people’s bodies communicate in and with the world based on the level of emotional and physical armoring that they are holding. My aim is to support you in letting go of your unconscious patterns and having more ease in your conscious awareness.

I started my first massage training in 1998. During this time I met one of Ida Rolf’s original students and received my first 10 series. It changed my life and showed me something important around what I wanted to do. I practiced between Colorado, Hawaii and San Francisco until I made the leap in 2006 to study Structural Integration with my teacher Lee Joseph in Kauai, HI.

In 2010, I earnestly began shifting my studies to explore the inner processes that people experience while living in a body. I spent 5 years studying Transformational NLP in Marin county. In 2016, I began studying Perinatal Somatics and Attachment Therapy, which continues to be a core part of my work today.

I continue to learn in order to keep my practice relevant and on the cutting edge of healing. I have been living and working in the bay area off and on for 17+ years.

My specialty is Structural Integration with elements of ART (Assisted Release Therapy) and Cranial Sacral Therapy. My sessions are 100% Therapeutically oriented. I also offer Pre/Post Natal Massage, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage. I help people recover from injuries, manage and heal ongoing chronic pain, optimize physical performance, reverse physical patterns and change habits in order to promote healthier choices on all levels. Some common problems I handle: whiplash, migraines, accidents, bulging discs, chronic muscle tightness, dis-regulated nervous systems, anxiety. If you are needing to address your pain and reach there root cause while  transforming your body and the patterns you have been holding in it, please get in touch. If you are wanting  a program that can help make long term changes, let’s discuss the 10 series. The 10 series is a method of unwinding the entire body and helping you to re-orient how you exist with gravity. I have been a CMT for 20 years

THE OFFICE

Welcome to my office.
It is a beautiful, spacious place in the heart of Piedmont Avenue, surrounded by shops, restaurants and the historic Piedmont Theater across the street.

The office is both peaceful and elegant in its simplicity.
You will feel held here in the work we share together.
It is a sanctuary in the midst of a busy neighborhood. A good place to take a pause from the rest of your life to rest and rejuvenate. There is a quiet outer waiting room shared by both suites for you to arrive and settle for your session. I look forward to seeing you!

Happy Clients
